What I Do

Illustration

I love to draw and have been doing it for as long as I can remember. I have contributed drawings and illustrations to many projects including editorial publications, annual reports, posters and flyers, educational booklets and lesson plans, website designs, logos and branding, video and animation and more. I also enjoy cartooning and making comics. I once drew a ghost once a day for a whole year. Some of these Ghostcaps were featured in Faesthetic Magazine #11.

Design

I also enjoy the puzzles of design and creating cool and engaging solutions to visual problems. I have designed CD and DVD packaging, invitations, logos and business cards, websites, posters, books and pamphlets, annual reports, movie titles, t-shirts and apparel, and more. Admittedly most of the things I design also use some element of illustration. Additionally, I have experience with some traditional forms of printing such as screen printing and letterpress.

Web Design

Designing websites is a far cry from drawing in terms of thought processes, but I appreciate the difference. I love to hand-code custom websites using XHTML and HTML5, CSS and CSS3, PHP, Javascript and whatever else I can teach myself. I also have a lot of experience working with Wordpress to allow users to update and manage their own content and blogs. I know Flash, too, but I don't like to use it! I am committed to building standards-compliant, cross-browser websites that are unique and engaging.
